Robert M. Doby

Rob Doby practices in the area of litigation, with a focus on real estate litigation and eminent domain matters. He has represented numerous public utilities and governmental entities in the acquisition of fee parcels, easements and rights-of-way for a variety of public works projects throughout the state of Texas. He has also represented landowners in similar settings.

Mr. Doby also has extensive experience in both general commercial litigation and personal injury litigation.

Experience

  • Successfully handled the acquisition of hundreds of easements for various electric transmission facilities, including electric transmission lines, as well as large sub-station/switching station sites throughout Texas.
  • Successfully handled and been involved in the acquisition of right-of-way for pipelines ranging from natural gas to water and sanitary sewer lines on behalf of local utilities.
  • Involved in the acquisition of the right-of-way for the Chisolm Trail Parkway, Fort Worth’s first toll road, connecting southwest Fort Worth with the downtown area.
