NEW ORLEANS – Will Bishop has joined Phelps Dunbar as a partner in the Firm’s New Orleans office and will focus his practice on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, capital market transactions, securities compliance, restructurings and joint ventures. Mr. Bishop also has significant experience representing emerging companies, providing guidance on angel investing, venture capital and private equity transactions and serving as outside general counsel.

Mr. Bishop represents clients in a variety of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, capital market transactions, restructurings and joint ventures.
Over Mr. Bishop’s career, he has developed a particular emphasis on representing emerging companies in private financing transactions – guiding them through the entire financing process from startup to exit – and providing general corporate advice. He has led transactions across a variety of industries, including energy, telecommunications and online retail.
Mr. Bishop serves as a member of the board for Operation Spark. He received his J.D. cum laude from Tulane University Law School and his B.A. with honors from Princeton University.
