Corporate Board Member has ranked Phelps Dunbar as one of the top five law
firms in New Orleans. In a special July/August 2002 issue, the magazine recently
published a list of America’s Best Corporate Lawyers consisting of the top 20
firms nationally, as well as the top five firms in each major American city.
Corporate Board Member surveyed 27,533 board members across America, consisting
of directors and general counsels of publicly traded companies listed on the
NYSE, AMEX, and NASDAQ, asking them to identify the firms they most admire -
nationally and in 50 metropolitan areas.
This is Corporate Board Member’s second year publishing “America’s Best Corporate
Lawyers.” Phelps Dunbar was also listed among the top New Orleans law firms
in last year’s issue as well. The recent issue features the top 20 law firms
in the United States (because of a tie, this year’s list includes 21) and the
top firms in 50 major U.S. cities. Corporate Board Member’s July/August issue
is received by 51,654 directors and officers of publicly traded U.S. corporations.
The magazine has a 97% readership rate among directors - higher than any other
business publication.
