New Partners at Phelps Dunbar LLP

Phelps Dunbar LLP is pleased to announce that the firm has elected four attorneys to the partnership effective January 1, 2005.

Scott Ellzey is a partner in the admiralty and tort practice group in the firm’s Gulfport office. He practices in the areas of commercial litigation and insurance defense litigation. Mr. Ellzey received his law degree from the University of Mississippi in 1996, where he was the associate articles editor of the Mississippi Law Journal. He also received his B.B.A. from the University of Mississippi in 1993. He is admitted to practice in Mississippi.

Karleen J. Green is a partner in the employment law practice group in the firm’s Baton Rouge office. She practices in the areas of employment and employee benefits matters, litigation and consultation regarding all aspects of labor and employment law, federal and state employment discrimination, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, and employment-related torts. Ms. Green received both her law degree and B.S. in Accounting from Louisiana State University in 1997 and 1994, respectively. Ms. Green is admitted to practice in Louisiana.

Evans Martin McLeod is a partner in the admiralty practice group in the firm’s New Orleans office. He practices in the areas of maritime litigation and commercial litigation. Mr. McLeod received his law degree from Loyola University in 1996. He received a B.S. from the University of Mississippi in 1991. Mr. McLeod is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Mississippi.

Virginia Yoder Trainor is a partner in the litigation practice group in the firm’s Baton Rouge office. She practices in the areas of medical malpractice, insurance defense and insurance coverage litigation. She received both her law degree and B.S. in Finance from Louisiana State University in 1997 and 1993, respectively. Ms. Trainor is admitted to practice in Louisiana.
