For over 150 years Phelps Dunbar LLP has served the Gulf Coast in good times and in crises. Throughout that time, we have built longstanding relationships with our clients and friends. Those relationships have never been more apparent than in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Your overwhelming empathy towards the families who have been dislocated by the storm and assistance in securing housing and supplemental office space has touched each and every one of us. We are also indebted to members of the Phelps Dunbar staff whose work before and after the storm have allowed for nearly uninterrupted client service.

 

Over the last twenty years, Phelps Dunbar implemented a regional expansion plan, which established offices outside New Orleans in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Jackson, Tupelo and Gulfport, Mississippi; Houston, Texas; and Tampa, Florida. This regional presence has enabled us to relocate our New Orleans and Gulfport colleagues quickly and has uniquely positioned us to play a major role in what will be the largest public and private restoration effort in the history of the United States.
