Spanning three centuries and
over 150 years, Phelps Dunbar has been a major influence
not only in the practice of law, but also in the development
of our local communities. We have grown and prospered from
our earliest days and now have seven offices and over 250 attorneys. The following time line captures some of
the contributions of past and present firm members as lawyers
and civic-minded individuals. We are proud to recognize
their contributions and acknowledge that the course of Phelps
Dunbar's future has been set by the accomplishments of our
