Tupelo attorneys are active in various
community organizations, such as Boys & Girls Club,
Habitat for Humanity, United Way, and Faith Haven, a home
for abused or neglected children. The firm has actively
participated in the Habitat for Humanity program for many
years; one of the partners in the Tupelo office has been
active as a board member and member of the legal committee
since 1991. Our volunteers assist with the construction
of homes for citizens with limited resources. In May 1999,
ten attorneys worked in the sweltering heat to construct
the enclosure and roof trusses of a home in the area. Again
in October 1999, several volunteers helped raise the roof
over another home in a different area of Tupelo.
In addition to Habitat
for Humanity and the other organizations that are served
by the Tupelo office, our volunteers offer support to the
Tupelo Regional AIDS Interfaith Network, Inc., which strives
to offer education on AIDS risks and prevention, and provides
assistance that is not available through traditional medical
or nursing care, such as transportation to physician appointments.
With an extensive health care practice in our Mississippi
offices, our Tupelo personnel bring a significant interest
and awareness to this cause.
