FIRM-WIDE

In keeping with our tradition of supporting our local communities, Phelps Dunbar has made donations to many worthy organizations, such as the Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society, Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, Jackson Zoo, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Louisiana Public Broadcasting, March of Dimes, Mississippi Opera, and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, to name a few.

Phelps attorneys also serve on the boards of many organizations, including the Contemporary Arts Center of New Orleans, Greater Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce, Jackson Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement of Greater New Orleans, Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans, Make-a-Wish Foundation in Louisiana, New Orleans Museum of Art, New Orleans Pro Bono Project, Community Development Foundation in Tupelo, University of Mississippi School of Law, and Y.M.C.A. of Jackson.

Phelps is also a contributor of scholarships to institutions of higher education in Louisiana and Mississippi. Scholarship or capital improvement programs are currently in place at Louisiana State University Law Center, Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans, Mississippi College School of Law, Southern University Law Center, Tougaloo College, Tulane Law School, University of Mississippi School of Business Administration, and the University of Mississippi School of Law.

Firm-sponsored activities provide opportunities to benefit our local communities, and yet, attorneys at Phelps take the extra initiative to involve themselves in various civic and community organizations. While most are members of professional organizations at the national, state, and local levels, as well as alumni associations from some of the nation's top schools, our attorneys also maintain active memberships and affiliations with many significant community and charitable organizations. All of these activities in combination reinforce our dedication to the positive growth of the communities in which we live and work.
