Our Baton Rouge office maintains a full roster of activities
that benefit the local community. In addition to participating
in the Everybody Reads program sponsored by Forum 35, an
association of young professionals united to help the community,
Baton Rouge personnel also sponsor Nicholson Elementary
School, one of the first public schools in Baton Rouge,
with volunteer time and donations throughout the year. Each
year, our Baton Rouge office participates in the Christmas
Star Program, which provides gifts and clothing to children
who would otherwise be forgotten. Finally, Phelps Dunbar
was named as one of the "Top Pacesetters" for the United
Way capital campaign in Baton Rouge. Not only have we been
invited to hold our contribution drive earlier than other
businesses in the area each year, but we consistently exceed
our financial goal and often record 100% participation.
