Phelps Dunbar Attorney Elected Chair of Young Lawyers Section of the New Orleans Bar Association

Phelps Dunbar is pleased to announce that Christopher K. Ralston of the New Orleans office has been elected as the 2007-2008 Chair of the New Orleans Bar Association's (NOBA) Young Lawyers Section. Mr. Ralston was installed as Chair at NOBA's Annual Dinner and Meeting on November 15, 2007.

The Young Lawyers Section (YLS) has more than 20 committees and annual events, which Mr. Ralston will oversee. He has previously served as Chair of the Public Service Committee of NOBA and as a member of the board of directors of the YLS.

Mr. Ralston is a two-time winner of the Distinguished Service Award from the New Orleans Pro Bono Project, as he is the current recipient and previously won the award in 2002. He was also recognized by the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA) as the recipient of their Outstanding Young Lawyer Award in 2006.

Mr. Ralston practices in the area of commercial litigation, concentrating primarily on antitrust law, business torts, trial practice, securities litigation and intellectual property litigation. He is a member of the Fifth Federal Circuit Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, American Bar Association, LSBA and the Former Federal Law Clerks Association.
