New Attorney Joins Phelps DunbarSeptember 12, 2007Phelps Dunbar LLP is pleased to announce that the New Orleans office has recently hired a new attorney. Maria N. Rabieh has joined the firm's regional insurance and reinsurance practice group as counsel in the New Orleans office. She has experience in the areas of insurance coverage disputes, insurance litigation, products liability, defense of motor carriers and mass toxic tort. Her experience also includes the litigation of claims concerning asbestos exposure, pharmaceutical and drug liability and chemical exposure. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles Grisbaum, Jr., in the Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal from 1991 to 1993. Ms. Rabieh received her J.D. from Louisiana State University Law Center in 1991. She also received a B.A. in Political Science and French from Louisiana State University in 1988. Ms. Rabieh is involved in the Defense Research Institute's Lawyers' Professionalism and Ethics Committee. In addition, she is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, Association for Women Attorneys and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.
