Jeffrey M. Barbin

Jeff Barbin practices in the areas of commercial and industrial real estate and finance. He has extensive experience in corporate, transactional and regulatory matters related to casino gaming. He counsels developers and operators on acquisitions, site development, financing and deposition. He has focused on gaming transactions requiring local gaming regulatory approvals and other complex transactional and regulatory matters, often working closely with the firm’s gaming lawyers in Mississippi to achieve efficiencies for the client in both jurisdictions. In this context, he has represented casino operators, management, investors, lenders, manufacturers and other vendors in their Louisiana gaming regulatory matters

Jeff Barbin practices in the areas of commercial and industrial real estate and finance. Mr. Barbin’s practice also involves working on the development of Louisiana banking forms, business entity formation, stock sales and entity mergers, alcohol licensing and other general business matters. He is also counsel to several municipal bodies in Louisiana. He currently serves as the firm’s regional practice coordinator for the Business Group and on the Board of Trustees for the International Association of Gaming Advisors.

  • Lead counsel to Italian Parent Companies of Atronic/Spielo/GTECH, coordinating U.S. regulatory advice.
  • Co-counsel to Icahn Enterprise in Louisiana/Mississippi regulatory matters during Tropicana bankruptcy.
  • Co-counsel to Fortress Investment Group in bid to acquire Penn National Gaming, Inc.
  • Co-counsel to DLJ in acquisition of the Service Companies.
  • Co-counsel advising lenders during Legends bankruptcy.
