In addition, Phelps Dunbar offers a training program firm-wide and within each practice area on a regular basis which offers education on varied legal topics to enhance each attorney’s professional career. The firm hosts monthly technology training courses to help enhance technology skills for our attorneys and staff. We also emphasize the importance of client relations through training and presentations. For example, in the past, the firm has hosted client training programs that include inviting our clients to the firm to discuss their business and the keys to the relationship between their business and their attorneys.

Phelps Dunbar’s clients often have needs that go beyond a particular practice area or city, and with more than 260 lawyers, the firm offers the diverse legal expertise necessary to deliver excellent service. In order to integrate lawyers across ten U.S. offices to effectively serve our clients, the firm is organized into regional practice groups that regularly work together to meet client needs. In addition, the firm hosts yearly client seminars that bring attorneys together from across different practices and office locations to conduct presentations on the latest legal issues affecting businesses. The firm also hosts activities, including a biennial retreat for all attorneys and their families, that offer the opportunity for lawyers to get to know each other on a personal level.
