Grace Bonner practices in the areas of business and intellectual property. She is an experienced intellectual property attorney, both in obtaining and licensing all forms of intellectual property protection, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, and plant variety protection certificates. She files for trademarks and logos for many different companies, both domestically and internationally, and provides guidance on the selection of trade names and tag lines, working with clients to obtain the highest level of protection for their valuable names and logos. The businesses for which she provides advice and protection include restaurants, insurance companies, medical providers, medical device manufacturers, agriculture companies, and chemical manufacturers. She provides general counseling to individuals and companies regarding managing and extracting value from their intellectual property, including trade secrets. Her practice also includes general business matters, including contracts for provision of services, distribution and sales of goods, collaborative research and development, and marketing arrangements.
Ms. Bonner was formerly senior counsel for Monsanto Company. Her experience includes serving as lead attorney on teams that launched new biotechnology products and completed a number of high-value mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures of technology-based businesses. She managed an extensive, global patent estate and participated in negotiating and preparing the licensing of patents, trademarks and trade secrets in many countries, including Australia, Brazil, China, India and the European Union.
