Phelps Dunbar Selected as a Best Place to Work in Tampa

Phelps Dunbar's Tampa office was selected as a finalist for the Tampa Bay Business Journal's 2009 Best Places to Work award in the "Bigger" category (51-100 employees). The finalists were recognized at an awards event at the Lowry Park Zoo in the Safari Lodge on Thursday, April 23.

Quantum Market Research, Tampa Bay Business Journal's research partner, evaluated surveys that were completed by each company's employees. The online survey consisted of questions related to areas such as team effectiveness, retention, manager effectiveness, work engagement and people practices.

Phelps Dunbar opened its Tampa office in April 2001 as a part of the firm's goal of becoming the preeminent law firm in the gulf coast region of the United States. Since its opening, the Tampa office has grown from four partners and one associate to approximately 40 attorneys, many of whom are consistently recognized for legal excellence year after year by national and local publications.
