Phelps Dunbar Attorneys Recognized in Florida Super Lawyers

Phelps Dunbar attorneys in the firm's Tampa office have been recognized in the 2010 issue of Florida Super Lawyers magazine.

Florida Super Lawyers magazine named several Phelps Dunbar attorneys as outstanding lawyers in Florida for attaining a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Super Lawyers magazine names attorneys in each state who received the highest point totals, as chosen by their peers and through the independent research of Law & Politics, which performs a complex and thorough polling, research and selection process from which the top five percent are identified.

The following Phelps Dunbar partners were named "Florida Super Lawyers" for 2010:

Karl J. Brandes is recognized in the area of General Litigation. He is a partner and the practice coordinator of the firm's commercial litigation practice group in the Tampa office and a member of the firm's regional commercial litigation practice group. His litigation practice includes petroleum marketing, other trade regulation, class action, environmental, computer, construction, condominium, personal injury including insurance and self-insured defense, toxic tort, product liability, landlord and tenant disputes, and other real property.

Lawrence P. Ingram is recognized in the area of Professional Liability: Defense. He is the managing partner of the Tampa office and a member of the firm's regional commercial litigation practice group. He practices primarily in insurance coverage, professional liability, securities, restrictive covenents and trade secrets.

Dennis M. McClelland is recognized in the area of Employment Litigation: Defense. He is a partner in the firm's regional employment law practice group. His practice focuses on representing employers in almost all aspects of labor and employment law. He is a Board Certified specialist in labor and employment law.

John D. Mullen is recognized in the area of Employment & Labor. He is a partner in the firm's regional employment law practice group. His practice includes a joint emphasis in labor and employment law and in securities litigation and arbitration.

John E. Phillips, Jr., is recognized in the area of Employment & Labor. He is a partner and the practice coordinator of the labor and employment group in the Tampa office and a member of the firm's regional labor and employment practice group. Seth M. Schimmel is recognized in the area of Construction Litigation. He is a partner in the firm's regional commercial litigation practice group. Bret M. Feldman is recognized in the area of Construction Litigation. He is a partner in the firm's regional commercial litigation practice group. His practice area includes construction, contracts, product defect litigation, evictions, mortgage foreclosures, title insurance defense, intellectual property, non-competes, insurance, ad valoren taxation, eminent domain and bankruptcy.

Paul R. Fowkes is recognized in the area of Business Litigation. He is an associate in the firm's regional commercial litigation practice group. His experience includes litigation in areas such as products liability, construction defects, subrogation, labor and employment, business related disputes and real estate.

Jason A. Herman is recognized in the area of Insurance Coverage. He is an associate in the firm's regional insurance and reinsurance practice group. His practice focuses on complex insurance coverage, litigation, and counseling. Breton H. Permesly is recognized in the area of Franchise/Dealership. He is an associate in the firm's regional business practice group. Erin Davies Raschke is recognized in the area of Insurance Coverage. She is an associate in the firm's regional insurance and reinsurance practice group. Prior to joining Phelps Dunbar, Erin served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Joseph Lewis, Jr. of the First District Court of Appeal of Florida.

Bridget E. Remington is recognized in the area of Insurance Coverage. She is an associate in the firm's regional insurance and reinsurance practice group. She previously served as a visiting instructor of Legal Research and Writing at Stetson University College of Law, a staff attorney for the Honorable Craig C. Villanti of the Florida Second District Court of Appeal, and an intern for the Honorable Elizabeth A. Kovachevich of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
