Phelps Dunbar Attorney Selected for Leadership Academy

Taylor Carroll, attorney in the Baton Rouge commercial litigation practice group, was recently selected by the American Bar Association's Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) to participate in its Leadership Academy for 2009-2010. Mr. Carroll will participate in the Leadership Academy with 20 other young lawyers from around the country who come from diverse backgrounds and job settings. The TIPS program is designed to mentor and provide a unique opportunity for these lawyers.

The Leadership Academy provides its participants with the tools, knowledge and skills necessary to lead the legal profession and to improve leadership service in the community as a whole. During the year, the members will travel to California, Florida and Puerto Rico to attended leadership and service sessions, and they will also attended numerous continuing legal education programs and participate in a special session on fair and impartial courts.

Mr. Carroll's practice includes significant experience in complex, multi-party business litigation, including insurance defense, construction, real estate, oil and gas, and professional liability litigation. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Guy Holdridge of the 23rd Judicial District Court, Division C.
