Phelps Dunbar Attorney Recognized as a Mississippi Business Woman of the Year

Phelps Dunbar attorney Debra Brown was recognized by the Mississippi Business Journal as one of 50 Leading Business Women in 2008.  This annual award recognizes dynamic women making a difference in their companies and communities.  The 2008 finalists were profiled in the September 22 special issue of the Mississippi Business Journal and were presented with their awards at the Awards Day Celebration on August 21.  The celebration included a day of seminars, a luncheon and the awards ceremony.

Ms. Brown is a partner in the general litigation group in the firm's Jackson office.  She is involved in several professional organizations, including American Bar Association, Mississippi Women Lawyers Association, Practicing Law Institute, Jackson 2000, Magnolia Bar Association and Mississippi Bar Association.
