Phelps Dunbar Attorney Recognized as a 2008 Up & Comer

Phelps Dunbar attorney William Josh Podolsky, III was recognized by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as one of the 2008 Up & Comers. The finalists were honored at a dinner on November 6 at the Quorum Hotel-Tampa. The Up & Comer award honors rising professionals in the Tampa Bay area who are committed to excellence in both their work and community environments. Mr. Podolsky was named in the "Under 30" category.

Mr. Podolsky is an associate in the firm's regional business practice group in the Tampa office. His real estate experience includes all aspects of acquisition, development and disposition of commercial, agricultural, mixed-use and residential real estate. As an active member of various professional and community organizations in Tampa and throughout Florida, Mr. Podolsky is involved in the Real Property, Probate & Trust Section of The Florida Bar; Hillsborough County Bar Association; Bay Area Real Estate Council, Inc.; Attorney's Title Insurance Fund, Inc.; and the Federalist Society. He serves on the University of Tampa Board of Fellows, is a member of the Propeller Club of the U.S. and Port of Tampa, Inc. and is currently the Treasurer for the Merrymaker's Club on Davis Islands. Mr. Podolsky is also a volunteer for the Florida Bar's Florida Attorneys Saving Homes Program, for which he handles various cases on a pro bono basis involving distressed homeowners in dealing with their lending institutions.
