Phelps Dunbar Attorney Named the 2008 International Propeller Club Member of the Year

Phelps Dunbar attorney Timothy P. Shusta recently received the 2008 International Propeller Club Member of the Year Award at the 82nd Annual Propeller Club Conference and Convention in Baltimore. There are currently 82 Propeller Clubs in the world, 55 in the United States and 28 international clubs in various ports around the world. The international award is presented by a committee from nominations from all regions around the world to one Propeller Club member.

In 2005, Mr. Shusta received the Tampa Propeller Club Member of the Year Award and the Southeast Region Member of the Year Award. He recently completed a two-year term as the Southeast Region Vice President. He will continue to participate at the headquarters' level of the organization as a member of the Executive Committee of the International Propeller Club of the United States.

Mr. Shusta is counsel in the firm's regional commercial litigation group in the Tampa office. He practices primarily in admiralty and maritime law, insurance, business and finance, environmental law and tort litigation. Mr. Shusta is an active member of numerous professional and community organizations around Tampa and throughout Florida, where he also serves as an officer for many of the organizations.
