Phelps Dunbar Attorney Elected a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers

Susie Morgan, partner in the commercial litigation regional practice group in the New Orleans office of Phelps Dunbar LLP, has been elected by the Board of Governors of the International Society of Barristers as a Fellow of the Society. She will be formally inducted at the 2009 annual meeting in March.

The International Society of Barristers is an honor society of outstanding trial lawyers chosen by their peers on the basis of excellence and integrity in advocacy. It seeks to preserve trial by jury, the adversary system, and independence of the judiciary. Members (the Fellows) are elected by the Society's Board of Governors on nomination by a Fellow and after inquiry directed to other Barristers in the nominee's region and to judges before whom the nominee has tried cases.

Susie practices in the areas of governmental relations, oil and gas, and general commercial litigation. In addition, she has experience in the area of municipal finance relating to bond financings as well as experience with contract and property disputes.

Phelps Dunbar is a regional law firm of approximately 260 attorneys, with offices in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Jackson, Tupelo, and Gulfport, Mississippi; Houston, Texas; Tampa, Florida; and London, England.
