Phelps Dunbar: A "Go-To Law Firm®"

Phelps Dunbar LLP was chosen as a "Go-To Law Firm®" for 2008 in a recent survey of Fortune 500 companies by Corporate Counsel® magazine.  Sears Holding Corporation named Phelps Dunbar as an outside law firm to which they turn for assistance in the area of Litigation, and Sara Lee recognized the firm for work done in Labor and Employment Law.  The full list of "Go-To Law Firms®" will be published in early December in the 5th Annual In-House Law Departments at the Top 500 Companies.  This is the fourth consecutive year that Phelps Dunbar has been recognized.

"Go-To Law Firms®" were identified through research conducted by American Lawyer Media (ALM).  Researchers asked in-house counsel at Fortune 500 companies throughout the country to which outside law firms they turn for assistance.  ALM's research department also gathered data on these law firms from various public records resources including court dockets and securities filings, as well as legal and business publications.

Corporate Counsel® is a monthly magazine published by ALM that provides news, information and trends for general counsel and in-house attorneys at corporations across the country.
