NEW ORLEANS – Phelps Dunbar partners Brandon Davis and Marty McLeod have been named Leadership in Law honorees for 2016 by New Orleans CityBusiness newspaper.
The program, in its 12th year, recognizes 50 area professionals in the field of law for their career and community accomplishments
Mr. Davis practices in the areas of labor and employment and business, employment-based and family-based immigration. His employment litigation practice includes representing employers in the defense of employment-related claims, alleging retaliation, discrimination and workplace harassment under federal and state statutes. As part of his immigration practice, Mr. Davis represents employers and individuals in a wide variety of immigration matters including civil and criminal worksite enforcement defense, visa petitions for employees, students, investors/traders, intracompany transfers, and family sponsored petitions
Mr. McLeod represents U.S. and foreign vessel owners as well as offshore companies and liability, pollution, hull, protection and indemnity insurance clients in a variety of marine and energy matters, including property, loss of use, pollution and commercial disputes. He also regularly counsels clients in negotiating and drafting contractual agreements involving marine and energy contracts, charters and operating agreements.
