What Do Windsor and the Affordable Care Act Mean for Your Organization?

Join us on April 9 as Phelps Dunbar partner Karleen Green takes you through the United States Supreme Court decision in United States v. Windsor, which has effectively broadened the definition of "spouse" for purposes of certain federal laws. Find out why employers should review their practices regarding FMLA leave, COBRA, and HIPAA; the definition of spouse under governing plan documents and plan administrative policies; and federal tax reporting to ensure compliance with the ruling. Karleen will also address the latest developments and requirements under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and why employers should review and evaluate their plans for compliance.

This program has been pre-approved for HRCI credit.
