Practice
Alan is a partner in the business group in the New Orleans office, and directs the firm's energy and utilities practice. He has over 30 years experience in gas and electric utility matters and also practices in the areas of administrative law and energy law. Prior to joining Phelps Dunbar, Alan was Senior Trial Attorney at the Office of General Counsel - Electric Rates Section, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission; and Vice President and General Counsel, Mid Louisiana Gas Company. He is among a select group of lawyers, recognized in the category of Energy & Natural Resources, listed in a nationwide client survey published in Chambers USA, America's Leading Lawyers for Business.
