William is counsel in the litigation group in the Mobile office. His practice focuses on appeals in civil cases. He has handled approximately 100 appeals and petitions for extraordinary writ to the Alabama Supreme Court, Alabama Court of Civil Appeals, and United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. William also handles insurance-coverage disputes, where he has represented insurers in numerous coverage matters, preparing coverage opinions, prosecuting declaratory-judgment actions, defending breach-of-contract/bad-faith cases, and intervening on behalf of insurers in actions against insureds. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and Alabama Super Lawyers. William was with Lyons, Pipes & Cook in Mobile before the firm joined Phelps Dunbar.
