Practice

Bruce is a partner in the commercial litigation group in the New Orleans office. He concentrates in arbitrations and trials, appellate matters, corporate and securities law, antitrust issues, business litigation and energy law. A portion of his practice includes representing numerous broker dealers, registered representatives and claimants in arbitrations that the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA; formerly the National Association of Securities Dealers) administers. Bruce additionally represents many broker dealers and registered representatives in audits that FINRA conducts or in enforcement actions or inquiries that FINRA initiates. He has served on numerous panels of arbitrators that adjudicated actions in FINRA's system. Bruce also represents a number of clients in the areas of: real estate transactions, corporate matters, and negotiating and drafting a wide-range of contracts. From 1981 to 1982, Bruce served as a clerk to the Honorable Henry A. Politz, Circuit Judge, United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 1978, Bruce received a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army. He served in the United States Army reserves and the Louisiana Army National Guard until his discharge in 1983 (as a First Lieutenant). Bruce appears in Best Lawyers in America for antitrust law. The Martindale-Hubble Law Directory awarded Bruce the "AV" rating, which is the highest possible rating for legal ability and ethical standards.
