Commercial Litigation
Ault is a partner in the commercial litigation group in the New Orleans office. For more than 18 years, Ault has counseled corporate and individual clients on a full range of business related disputes, both in litigation and planning. Ault's practice includes the handling of complex commercial litigation matters in both federal and state court, including contract and lease disputes, construction disputes, supplier disputes, surety matters, intellectual property disputes, business torts, lender liability, director and officer matters, insurance regulatory matters, franchisor/franchisee disputes, and the protection and enforcement of debtor's and creditors' rights generally in the non-bankruptcy context. Within the past year alone, Ault has represented clients in matters before courts in California, Indiana, Kansas, Delaware, New Jersey, Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana. With regard to the latter, Ault is Board Certified at both the national and state level in the area of business bankruptcy, and is the Chairman of the Bankruptcy Committee of the New Orleans Bar Association. He is also among a select group of lawyers, recognized in the category of Corporate/M&A: Bankruptcy, listed in a nationwide client survey published in Chambers USA, America's Leading Lawyers for Business. In addition, he is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America in the specialty of Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law.
