Practice

Susie is a partner in the employment law group in the Baton Rouge office. She practices in the areas of labor and employment law, employment litigation, ERISA, insurance coverage and litigation, and civil litigation. Her employment litigation practice includes representing employers in discrimination claims for age, sex, disability, race, religion, and sexual harassment and handling EEOC charges and other administrative complaints through the administrative and judicial process. She advises clients on human resource issues and in developing employee policies and procedures. Susie speaks often on behalf of management interests on employment related topics and frequently provides training to clients on compliance issues under federal and state law. She is also among a select group of lawyers, recognized in the category of Employment, listed in a nationwide client survey published in Chambers USA, America's Leading Lawyers for Business.

  • Handled numerous matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Louisiana Commission on Human Rights.
  • Counsel of employers on employee wage payment issues and overtime issues as it relates to salary/hourly employees.
