Practice

Kelly is a contract attorney in the general litigation group in the Jackson office, and practices in the area of environmental law, including regulatory and litigation. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a Senior Attorney for the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality. Kelly has prepared and presented enforcement cases before Mississippi state courts, the Mississippi Commission on Environmental Quality, and the Mississippi Environmental Quality Permit Board. She works regularly with the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and other regulatory agencies relating to permitting and enforcement matters. Kelly is versed in state and federal environmental laws and regulations, and has served as lead attorney in negotiating numerous settlements.  She is among a select group of lawyers, recognized in the category of Environment, listed in a nationwide client survey published in Chambers USA, America's Leading Lawyers for Business.
