New Physician Self-Referral (Stark) Law FAQs Added to CMS' Web Site

On January 31, 2008, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services added twelve new FAQs concerning the Physician Self-Referral (Stark) Law to its Web site's Frequently Asked Questions section. The new FAQs address potentially confusing elements of Stark II Phase III, including the distinction between "physician practice" and "physician organization" and certain issues involving Phase III's "stand in the shoes" provision.
